One Piece

Backstory

This page is a little bit different than usual - you may have noticed there is no boy here. This is because I am still feeling out who the primary target is, but I already have an OC fully formed. So she gets the spotlight while I try to talk myself out of the character that is probably going to pop up here in a week or two once I man up enough to admit it.

I finally started One Piece in December 2024 after a bunch of my friends have been getting into it over the past year or two. Why did nobody tell me that One Piece is good. Why did nobody tell me???????? Anyway, I am locked in now.

About My S/I

She has quickly become one of my favorite OCs ever!!!!! As always I never name my OCS, so she has a stupid placeholder name until I come up with a better one - Ebi-chan!!!

Ebi was an orphan who was brutally tormented by all the other kids in her town, for basically no reason other than she couldn't fight back. Nobody cared enough to step in, and begging them to stop didn't help. She just endured it as best as she could, not knowing what else to do. Her entire childhood and well into her teenage years was spent getting physically and mentally kicked around by people who were much stronger than her, only for the enjoyment of it.

That changed when she came across a Devil Fruit. She had no hesitation in eating it, and prayed that it would give her power, any power, enough to pay back the people that had been torturing her for her entire life. The Ebi-Ebi no Mi (Shrimp Shrimp Fruit) was an animal-type fruit that gave her the abilities of a mantis shrimp, a wickedly powerful animal for its small size. In her regular human form - only slightly changed by the addition of eyestalks on top of her head - she is extremely fast, agile, and strong, relying on her fists to punch her enemies into submission.

She succeeded in beating down her tormentors - and then, following that, all of the adults who were complacent in it. And then, overcome by rage and the ability to finally protect herself, she went on a rampage and destroyed most of the town. She was cast out, but felt a lightness in her heart that she'd never known before. This was short-lived, as rumors quickly spread that she was a violent and hateful pirate who had ravaged a small town to feed her bloodlust. Everywhere she went, people thought of her as nothing more than a hysterical monster woman. So, she decided to throw away pretenses. If everyone felt that way, she would become a pirate after all - but not for money. To beat the everloving crap out of people who pick on the weak for no reason other than the fact that they can.

At some point, she ends up meeting my friend's OC, Penelope, and the become a two-person crew together!!

Lore

They have mega beef with each other. There is a period of a few months or so where their ships keep running into each other in the East Blue and every single time they drop what they are doing to try to kick each other's asses. Ebi can take out a majority of his crew (the lower ranks) on her own but when it comes to fighting one-on-one it almost always ends up in a draw. This is infuriating for everyone involved and is part of the reason the stupid feud doesn't go away. Neither one of them will let it go.
