Dear Zel,

To be honest, I don't really know why I'm writing you this letter. I've just been missing you lately. Which seems very childish of me, really, considering you've been gone for less than a week. I guess I've gotten used to having you around all the time... it's rare for you to go on adventures so far away that you're away from home for more than a day or two. I didn't think it would bother me so much, but things have been slow around here, and I'm noticing your absence more than I anticipated.

Meidri was the one who suggested I write to you. At first I was confused - how was I to send a letter to someone if I had no idea where they were? And then she reminded me about how accessible tracking magic is here, and I have to admit, I felt quite silly. But she helped me with getting the things I needed in order. I'm told that all I have to do is fold my letter up, put it in this special envelope, and it will find its way to you... somehow. I asked her how it worked, but she said she didn't know much about magic. Maybe you can explain it to me when you get back.
